Diagnostic Services

The types of services we currently provide are listed below, including approximate charges and suggested appointment lengths.

Initial Intake - 1 hour - for diagnostic assessments, consultations, or patients new to our practice with established diagnosis of ADHD of any Type (Combined, Inattentive or Hyperactive).  YOU MUST complete Registration AND Symptom Assessment BEFORE FIRST VISIT (See Health Forms).
FAILURE TO DO SO AT LEAST ONE FULL DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL RESULT IN CANCELLATION OF THAT APPOINTMENT.  You will need to re-schedule the appointment to the next available slot.
$415 minimum charge; it may be more.

Intake #2 may be necessary, half to one hour - review diagnostic evaluation, discuss treatment options, and start any agreed-upon treatment.

Recheck visits - usually half an hour, at times longer - to check effectiveness of treatments, monitor for any side effects, review all other conditions associated with ADHD discuss options and next steps to optimize condition.
Due to Federal DEA regulations, if you are taking any Class II Controlled Substances (stimulants), these visits will be necessary at least every 3 months.

Charges for recheck visits depend upon the complexity of the visit issues, not simply time spent. You are paying for our knowledge, training and  experience, not by the minute or hour.

If you have seen Dr. Pomeroy and he has asked for you and/or your child's teacher to complete a Vanderbilt (NICHQ) evaluation, click on the HealthForms tab above and select the correct form (Parent or Teacher, initial or followup) to print out and complete.  You may either email them back as an attachment or fax them to us at (206) 339-5465.

New patients are encouraged to make arrangements to have most recent past medical records with them or delivered prior to the first appointment. No refills will be written until we are satisfied with the adequacy of the diagnosis for which the medications are used; this protects you and also our clinicians. Medications used for ADHD and associated conditions are powerful and need to be used appropriately.  A signature on the RX means  the signer agrees that there is a medical necessity to use the medication. Until a clinician here has established that, no renewal of RX will be written, regardless of previous medications used.
